The 1976 Montreal Olympic Games, the athlete was a global sensation when she scored the first perfect ten in asymmetric bars. And in the year 1976, NadiaComaneci continued to earn six additional perfect 10s and became one of the most youthful Olympic silver medalist. Not only did she draw the attention of others, but she also helped Romania establish itself as a world-class athlete. In achieving a result that was not possible heroism in sport, the athlete brought gymnastics to the forefront of international interest. It changed how people viewed female gymnasts.
